The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dingo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McPain stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
McPain misses with a looping right.
Dingo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Matthew McPain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McPain misses with a shot to the body
and Dingo counters with a nice uppercut.
McPain shoots in for a double leg but Dingo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

McPain moves forwards but Dingo connects with a nice, crisp jab.

McPain takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

McPain is trying to control the action in half guard but Dingo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
McPain prevents Dingo from improving his position.
McPain misses with a head shot. Dingo uses the momentum to regain guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Matthew McPain will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting McPain here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Matthew McPain.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for McPain, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
