PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between TheMegaMan GameMaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ranta Runtiringen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Runtiringen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: "Death cures all pain" by Suicide Commando. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
GameMaster shoots for a double leg takedown but Runtiringen sprawls well. He's pushed GameMaster's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Runtiringen wants to clinch.

Runtiringen instigates a clinch.
GameMaster goes for a takedown in the clinch but Runtiringen prevents it.
GameMaster has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Runtiringen is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for TheMegaMan GameMaster. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Runtiringen tries a knee to the head but GameMaster blocks it.
GameMaster changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Runtiringen fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Horrible takedown by GameMaster or perhaps it was just good defense by Runtiringen which made him look bad.
GameMaster shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from GameMaster.
GameMaster looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Runtiringen throws a half hearted mid kick.

Runtiringen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
GameMaster is breathing heavily.
Runtiringen has control of GameMaster's left arm, preventing GameMaster from doing any damage.
Runtiringen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for GameMaster!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

GameMaster tries to hold on but Runtiringen postures up.
Runtiringen tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Despite being in the dominant position, Ranta Runtiringen just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Runtiringen tries a head kick but it misses.
GameMaster shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Runtiringen defends it nicely.
GameMaster fails with a takedown attempt.
Ranta Runtiringen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Runtiringen is looking to clinch but GameMaster is avoiding it.
GameMaster changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Runtiringen tries to avoid it but GameMaster manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Runtiringen to the ground. Runtiringen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Runtiringen scores with a leg kick.
Runtiringen lands a brutal head kick. GameMaster looks out on his feet and Runtiringen throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
