Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Daiki Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Suda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suda is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Pawn Shop. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suda gets caught flat footed, as Nakamura shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Nakamura not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Suda is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Nakamura stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Suda swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nakamura thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Nakamura content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Suda keeping full guard, as Nakamura tries to pass. Suda really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nakamura. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suda wants to sweep here but Nakamura controlling him for the moment. Nakamura is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Nakamura pushing down on Suda's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Suda wants to get back to his feet. Nakamura takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Suda has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nakamura is working away from the top position though. Suda wants to stand back up but Nakamura manages to pass into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Suda is looking to reverse the position. Suda manages to work his way to half guard, despite Nakamura's best efforts. Nakamura thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Suda's head. Suda pushes Nakamura off looking to stand but Nakamura dives back in and keeps control.
Nakamura is figuring out what he wants to do next. Suda won't allow Nakamura to pass to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakamura trying to control the action but Suda is working from the bottom. The fighters are battling for position here. Suda manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Suda looking to control.
Nakamura trying to control the position from guard on top but Suda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nakamura trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nakamura shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nakamura wants to lay and pray for a moment but Suda keeps working. Nakamura seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Nakamura tries to pass the half guard into mount. Suda knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nakamura is figuring out what he wants to do next. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daiki Nakamura dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Nakamura closes the distance and clinches up with Suda, looking for a takedown. Nakamura pushes Suda against the cage but Suda circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Daiki Nakamura is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nakamura looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Suda! Suda tries to hold on but Nakamura pushes him away. Suda is looking to get to half guard. Nakamura controlling the pace for now.

Nakamura connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nakamura scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Suda?
Nakamura controlling the pace for now. Suda is working to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nakamura lands a nice shot to the head. Nakamura sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Nakamura lands a big elbow.
Suda is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Suda wants to control but Nakamura is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakamura takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Nakamura has control of Suda's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Suda regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Nakamura tries to control but Suda wriggling away. Nakamura is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Suda to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Suda shrugs it off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Nakamura is trying to take his opponent's back.
Nakamura is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Suda has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Suda can't escape the position.
Nakamura swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Suda is now in Nakamura's guard. A big mistake from Nakamura there, giving up the dominant position! Nakamura has his foot on Suda's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Suda works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daiki Nakamura dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Nakamura slips under a jab from Suda. Nakamura tries to score a power double leg takedown but Suda sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nakamura somewhat. Suda throws a jab when Nakamura was well out of range. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Suda is defended easily by Nakamura. Nakamura feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Suda controls Nakamura momentarily but Nakamura frees himself. Nakamura wants to control from the top but Suda keeps moving. Nakamura with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suda is trying to control the position but Nakamura postures up. Suda keeping moving, preventing Nakamura from controlling successfully. Daiki Nakamura overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Nakamura won't allow Suda to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nakamura displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Suda gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nakamura to score an easy takedown into full guard. Suda preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Suda wants to control the position but Nakamura says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Nakamura trying to control from half guard but Suda is working away. Suda is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Nakamura looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suda is staying active underneath Nakamura, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Suda trying to hold on to Nakamura's head to control him but Nakamura postures up.
Suda tries to roll over but Nakamura keeps him under control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Suda fails with a takedown attempt. Suda takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Suda fails to land the takedown. Daiki Nakamura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonathan Suda.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Nakamura shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Suda being controlled here, momentarily. Nakamura trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jonathan Suda has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nakamura drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nakamura jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Suda wants to sweep but no luck.
And that's the end of the fight! Daiki Nakamura showed his dominance in that final round. Well Nakamura has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
