Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, a b!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
b tries to clinch up.
Thompson tries to clinch
and b counters by moving into the clinch.
b ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. b no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
b bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Thompson's guard.
Thompson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Thompson is on top in guard.
b is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Thompson controlling from the top position.
Thompson wants to control from the top but b keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thompson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Thompson forces his way into half guard.
b wants to get back to his feet.
Thompson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
b scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Thompson manages to mount him!
Thompson unloads with some shots from mount but b bucks and avoids them well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
b wants to hold on but Thompson pushes him away.
Thompson looking to control but b is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
b tries to hold on but Thompson postures up.
b keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Thompson tries to control but b wriggling away.
b working to try and regain half guard.
b might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Thompson throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

Thompson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as b is looking to escape.
Thompson punching from mount but b doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Thompson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for b because Thompson loaded up on that one.
b is trying to escape the mount.
b manages to regain half guard. Good work.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
b tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Thompson has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Thompson looking to control but b is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
b tries to hold on but Thompson postures up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Thompson has hold of b's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and b manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Neil Thompson will probably get the nod.

Thompson slaps away a takedown attempt from b, before circling back to the center of the mat.
b is trying hard to land a takedown here. Thompson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
b has Thompson up against the cage in a clinch.
Thompson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. b just stands there and leans against the cage.
Thompson is trying to break free.
b tries for a takedown but Thompson manages to get underhooks.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
b breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Thompson shoots in for a takedown but b shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

b has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Thompson regains guard immediately.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Thompson is pulling down on b's head to control his posture.
Thompson is looking to stand up but b isn't so interested in that idea.

Thompson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Thompson is looking to clinch but b is avoiding it.
Thompson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Thompson circles away from the clinch attempt.
b tries to bum rush Thompson with a series of wild strikes but Thompson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Thompson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and b counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by b.

b will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Thompson up against the cage.
Thompson is trying to break the clinch but b is controlling him.
Thompson is working for takedown but b is calmly controlling the position for now.
b pulls guard effortlessly.
b being controlled here, momentarily.
Thompson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Thompson lying in b's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. b decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Thompson taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
