Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Cech (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heikki Jaaskelainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaaskelainen has chosen Yeah Yeah Yeah as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Yuri Cech! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Heikki Jaaskelainen! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jaaskelainen throws a nice outside leg kick. Jaaskelainen cracks Cech with an open hand slap. Cech steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jaaskelainen. Cech gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jaaskelainen to score an easy takedown into full guard. Jaaskelainen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Jaaskelainen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jaaskelainen trying to control the position from guard on top but Cech is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jaaskelainen throws a strike but Cech rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Cech wants to pass the guard but Jaaskelainen is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jaaskelainen controls Cech momentarily but Cech frees himself. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Jaaskelainen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Cech trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jaaskelainen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jaaskelainen pulls Cech in close to his closed guard and prevents Cech from doing any damage or advancing position. Cech is looking to stand up but Jaaskelainen won't let him. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jaaskelainen is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jaaskelainen sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cech keeping moving, preventing Jaaskelainen from controlling successfully. Jaaskelainen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cech works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jaaskelainen wants to stand but Cech is controlling his posture from full guard. Jaaskelainen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cech throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Jaaskelainen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jaaskelainen wants to control from the top but Cech keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jaaskelainen shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cech is trying to defend but Jaaskelainen finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Jaaskelainen takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jaaskelainen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jaaskelainen looks to land a strike but Cech avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Jaaskelainen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cech is keeping the position for now. Jaaskelainen is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Cech is breathing heavily. Jaaskelainen wants to control from the top but Cech keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Heikki Jaaskelainen dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Cech shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jaaskelainen sprawls well. Jaaskelainen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cech gets slowly back to his feet. Jaaskelainen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jaaskelainen drops Cech with a left right combo! Jaaskelainen follows him down to the ground into side control.

It looks like Yuri Cech has been cut. Jaaskelainen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jaaskelainen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Oh Cech is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Jaaskelainen lands some shots froms side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cech is looking for a sweep. Cech seems to have got his legs back now. Jaaskelainen wants to control but Cech is keeping him busy. Cech wants to control but Jaaskelainen postures up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cech seems a little lost for a moment, as Jaaskelainen dominates the positioning. Jaaskelainen working the ground and pound but Cech is defending the strikes. Jaaskelainen throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Jaaskelainen throwing strikes but Cech manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jaaskelainen throws a low kick, looking for Cech's leg but Cech calmly moves out of range. Cech ducks under a wild hook from Jaaskelainen. Jaaskelainen misses with a two punch combination.
Jaaskelainen misses with a double jab.
Jaaskelainen has a takedown stuffed. No joy there for Jaaskelainen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cech shoots in and drives through. Jaaskelainen sprawls well. Cech shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Jaaskelainen takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. The fighters circle momentarily. Jaaskelainen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Jaaskelainen is looking to chop away at Cech's legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jaaskelainen gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cech to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Jaaskelainen pulls Cech in close to prevent any damage. Jaaskelainen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cech. Jaaskelainen wants to sweep here but Cech controlling him for the moment. Cech wants to control from the top but Jaaskelainen keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jaaskelainen wants to sweep but no luck. Cech trying to control but Jaaskelainen is working from the bottom. Cech wants to stand but Jaaskelainen has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Jaaskelainen might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cech kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Heikki Jaaskelainen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Yuri Cech's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Cech is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jaaskelainen's half guard. Cech trying to pass the guard but Jaaskelainen defending well. Jaaskelainen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cech is working away from the top position though. Jaaskelainen is pressing down on Cech's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Cech looking to sit in guard and control but Jaaskelainen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Jaaskelainen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cech utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jaaskelainen pushes down on Cech's leg and manages to get into half guard. Jaaskelainen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jaaskelainen seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jaaskelainen sitting and controlling from the half guard. Jaaskelainen scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Jaaskelainen landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Jaaskelainen is keen to just control but Cech is a slippery customer. Cech avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jaaskelainen. Jaaskelainen is thwarting Cech's attempts to control the position. Jaaskelainen controlling the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cech blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jaaskelainen. Jaaskelainen working over Cech with some ground and pound. Cech looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Cech looks like he's trying to stand up.
Cech has hold of Jaaskelainen's hands but Jaaskelainen slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Jaaskelainen stands up from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cech takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Cech uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jaaskelainen. Cech stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jaaskelainen. Heikki Jaaskelainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jaaskelainen throws a jab when Cech was well out of range. Jaaskelainen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cech sprawls well initially but Jaaskelainen persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Jaaskelainen lands with a punch from half guard. Jaaskelainen not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Jaaskelainen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Yuri Cech has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jaaskelainen is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
And that's the end of the fight! Heikki Jaaskelainen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jaaskelainen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
