Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lazaros Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Stonehouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stonehouse has chosen Invaders Must Die as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Lazaros Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Lazaros Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Paul Stonehouse! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones keeps the fight on the outside. Jones clinches but Stonehouse breaks the clinch and Stonehouse counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jones misses with a jab to the body
and Stonehouse counters by clinching up. Stonehouse looking to stall.
Jones scores with an uppercut up the middle. Stonehouse tries to circle away but Jones has him pinned against the ropes. Jones lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes. Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lazaros Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones misses with a few strikes there.
Jones misses with a double jab
and Stonehouse counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jones! Jones wants to try and get back to his feet. Stonehouse throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Stonehouse tries to control but Jones wriggling away. Jones tries to hold on but Stonehouse postures up. Stonehouse goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Jones turns into him and now he's in Stonehouse's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to control from the top but Stonehouse keeps moving. Jones is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stonehouse is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Jones sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Stonehouse keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Stonehouse is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Stonehouse seems keen to control Jones's posture. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Stonehouse is retaining full guard. Stonehouse trying to control the position here. Jones's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stonehouse swivels though and keeps the full guard. Stonehouse working a defensive guard here.
Jones controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Jones cracks Stonehouse with a solid left hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Stonehouse wants to get back to his feet but Jones is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Jones trying to control but Stonehouse is working from the bottom. Jones advances position into side control! Jones slows the pace down.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Lazaros Jones just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stonehouse moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Stonehouse tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Stonehouse counters by moving into the clinch. Jones breaks the clinch.
Jones throws a series of punches but Stonehouse moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Paul Stonehouse will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Jones scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Stonehouse slips a jab and a cross from Jones.
Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Stonehouse. Jones connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Stonehouse momentarily.
Stonehouse lands with an uppercut that bounces Jones off the ropes and back into rage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stonehouse checks a low kick from Jones. Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Jones misses with a looping right. Stonehouse fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones. Jones lands with a hook. Stonehouse tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Stonehouse tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range. Stonehouse works over Jones's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Lazaros Jones has been cut. Jones throws a left and a right that both miss
and Stonehouse holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Stonehouse with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stonehouse scores with a knee to the head.
Jones is leaning against Stonehouse and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Jones keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Stonehouse's efforts to push away. Jones blocks an elbow strike. Jones works on Stonehouse's body with a couple of short punches. Stonehouse is breathing heavily. Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and Stonehouse counters by clinching up. Jones lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Stonehouse backwards. Stonehouse jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jones walks away with a smile on his face. Stonehouse gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Stonehouse counters with a nice body kick. Stonehouse darts in and clinches Jones up against the ropes. Stonehouse lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Jones missing with knees to the body.

Stonehouse can't break the clinch.
Jones doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Stonehouse tries to stall but Jones uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Jones wants to get back to striking at distance but Stonehouse won't allow it.
Stonehouse is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Stonehouse looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Jones throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones scores with a shoulder strike. Jones manages to break the clinch.

and Stonehouse counters into the clinch. Nicely done. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stonehouse is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes. Jones manages to break the clinch.

Jones throws a right hand that Stonehouse ducks under and follows up with a left that Stonehouse also avoids with ease. Stonehouse closes the distance and clinches. Jones has a couple of punches blocked by Stonehouse.

and Stonehouse counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jones! Stonehouse is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jones to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jones shrugs it off.

Stonehouse trying to control but he's not successful this time. Jones is desperately trying to improve his position but Stonehouse has a good base and remains in mount. Stonehouse with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Jones looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Stonehouse! Submission of the night perhaps?
