Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nemanja Vidic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kobe Bryant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bryant connects with a right hand. Vidic shakes it off.
Bryant scores with a jab.
Vidic misses with a series of wild punches.

Bryant gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Vidic.
Nemanja Vidic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bryant takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Vidic throws a big shot that misses.
Bryant moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Vidic looks to land a combination but Bryant avoids it well.
Vidic fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bryant takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Bryant throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Vidic counter with a right hand.
Vidic throws a nice looking combination but Bryant bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

enabling Vidic to counter with a crisp jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Vidic counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Vidic rushes Bryant with punches - Bryant moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Bryant goes down! Vidic follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nemanja Vidic!
