Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Phelan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Warren Sapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warren Sapp has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Phelan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Warren Sapp! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phelan avoids the head kick by Sapp.
Sapp closes the distance and clinches. Phelan pulls guard. Sapp throwing strikes from guard but Phelan blocks nicely. Phelan tries to strike from the bottom.
Sapp wants to stand and escape but instead Phelan has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Sapp has Phelan pulled in close to control his posture. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sapp can do anything to dispel that myth. Sapp keeping moving, preventing Phelan from controlling successfully. Phelan won't allow Sapp to sweep him here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Phelan wants to control from the top but Sapp keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sapp kicks Phelan off and gets to his feet. Phelan clinches up against the cage. Phelan is working for takedown but Sapp is calmly controlling the position for now. Phelan could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Sapp tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Phelan smiles and moves away.
Sapp bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Sapp looks gassed! Phelan is looking to reverse the position. Phelan is trying to control Sapp's posture but Sapp avoids it. Phelan manages to work his way to half guard, despite Sapp's best efforts.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sapp is trying to control. Phelan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Phelan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Phelan wants to control but Sapp is keeping busy.
Sapp wants to take a breather but Phelan is having none of it. Phelan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Sapp shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Phelan as he jumps to the side. Phelan gets a takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from Phelan. Sapp is trying to maintain the position but Phelan is very close to passing his half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sapp pushes Phelan off looking to stand but Phelan dives back in and keeps control.
Phelan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Phelan trying to control from half guard but Sapp is working away. Phelan wants to stand up but Sapp is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Sapp wants to get back to full guard. Sapp is trying to stand back up but Phelan is controlling him
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sapp fails with the takedown and Phelan counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sapp's guard now. Mike Phelan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Warren Sapp. Sapp is working an open guard so Phelan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Phelan throws a nice head kick!
Phelan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sapp swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sapp tries to clinch up and Phelan counters with a nice low kick that buckles Sapp's knee momentarily.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Sapp tries to clinch up. Sapp closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Phelan is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Phelan tries to roll over but Sapp keeps him under control. Sapp controlling the pace. Sapp prevents Phelan from improving his position. Sapp with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Phelan tries to roll over but Sapp keeps him under control. Sapp slows the pace down in half guard. Phelan keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Sapp perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Phelan avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sapp. Phelan wants to control but Sapp passes into side.
Phelan can't do much from the bottom here. Phelan tries to buck Sapp off but Sapp is having none of it. Sapp stands up and beckons Phelan to his feet. Sapp is looking to clinch but Phelan is avoiding it.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sapp feints and as Phelan raises his hands in defense, Sapp changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Phelan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Phelan seems keen to control Sapp's posture. Phelan will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Phelan has his foot on Sapp's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sapp works his way back into a safe position though. Sapp wants to control from the top but Phelan keeps moving. Sapp won't allow Phelan to get back to his feet.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Phelan is working an open guard so Sapp takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Sapp shoots for a takedown but Phelan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Sapp tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Phelan swivels and escapes. Phelan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Phelan lands in his opponent's guard. Sapp keeping moving, preventing Phelan from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mike Phelan. Well Phelan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
