Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Maicon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javier Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Javier Hernandez!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maicon on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Maicon tries to clinch up but Hernandez circles away and keeps his distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hernandez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Maicon is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Hernandez fails to pull guard.

Hernandez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hernandez lands with a slapping head kick.

It looks like Douglas Maicon has been cut.

Maicon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Hernandez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hernandez wants to control but Maicon is having none of it.

Hernandez is bucking up trying to escape but Maicon cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Hernandez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maicon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hernandez is squirming around, avoiding Maicon's attempts to control the action.
Hernandez is desperately trying to improve his position but Maicon has a good base and remains in mount.

Hernandez needs to remain patient if he's going to get out of this sticky situation.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Maicon controlling the positon.

Maicon looking for the RNC.
Hernandez wants to escape the position.
Hernandez wants to control his opponent's hands but Maicon gets his hands free.

Maicon goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Hernandez escapes and is now in half guard on top.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Hernandez is keen to just control but Maicon is a slippery customer.
Hernandez frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Hernandez wants to control the pace but Maicon is squirming around nicely.

Hernandez with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Maicon wants to control but Hernandez is having none of it.

Maicon is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Maicon keeps the fight on the outside.

and Maicon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Douglas Maicon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Javier Hernandez.

and Hernandez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Maicon closes the distance and clinches.
Maicon fails to pull guard.
Hernandez misses with some punches.
Hernandez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Maicon walks away with a smile on his face. Hernandez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Maicon closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hernandez to the mat! Hernandez manages to get full guard.

Maicon gets to his feet - Hernandez follows without any prompting.
Maicon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Maicon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

That's eight minutes gone in the round.
Hernandez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Maicon counters with a shoot takedown. Hernandez fights it but they end up in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hernandez has a closed guard, preventing Maicon from standing up.
Hernandez wants to control the position but Maicon says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Hernandez is trying to stand back up but Maicon is controlling him

Maicon decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Maicon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Hernandez connects with a solid leg kick.
Hernandez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Maicon as he jumps to the side.
Maicon fakes the leg kick and cracks Hernandez in the body.
Hernandez fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Hernandez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Maicon counters with a shoot takedown. Hernandez fights it but they end up in guard.
Maicon passes into half guard.
Maicon passes the guard and advances to mount!

And that's the end of the fight!
Douglas Maicon showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Maicon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
