Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyle McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mwai Kibaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kibaki has chosen Machine Head as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle McGee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mwai Kibaki! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kibaki lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Kyle McGee has been cut. Kibaki misses with a few strikes there.
McGee throws a wild combination but nothing lands. McGee misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kibaki.
McGee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. McGee throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. McGee sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kibaki defending well though. McGee working the head and body with strikes. McGee missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. McGee tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kibaki knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. McGee perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kibaki misses with some strikes from the bottom.
McGee wants to control but Kibaki is keeping him busy. Kibaki wants to get back to his feet.
Kibaki tries to get to full guard but McGee has control of the leg. McGee not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kibaki looks to land a left hand but McGee moved out of range nicely. McGee lands a nice shot to the body.
Kibaki misses with an uppercut. Kibaki looks to land a right hand but McGee moved out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kibaki misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kibaki keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
McGee throws a lazy right hand but Kibaki sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. McGee fails to land with a series of punches.
Mwai Kibaki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McGee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kibaki circles away quickly and effectively. McGee thows a left - swing and a miss! Kibaki throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kibaki slips a jab and a cross from McGee.
Kibaki throws an overhand right that lands on McGee's shoulder, as McGee tries to avoid the shot. McGee ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. McGee lands with a cross. Kibaki misses with an uppercut. Kibaki swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. McGee throws a hook but Kibaki avoids it easily. Kibaki bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps McGee's head backwards. Kibaki uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before McGee has time to react. Some wild striking there from Kibaki.
McGee throws a nice looking combination but Kibaki bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. McGee fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kibaki sprawls well initially but McGee persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kibaki is looking to control McGee's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kibaki avoid being mounted? McGee thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kibaki's head. Kibaki is not content to let McGee control the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kibaki can do anything to dispel that myth. Kibaki avoiding damage under a succession of punches from McGee. McGee throwing shots but Kibaki is blocking nicely. McGee throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. McGee wants to take a breather but Kibaki is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. McGee missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. McGee misses the shot to the body. Kibaki throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. McGee walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Kibaki throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A big right from Kibaki misses. Kibaki paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. McGee misses with an uppercut. Kibaki saw that one coming. Mwai Kibaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kibaki throws a series of punches but McGee avoids them all with ease. Kibaki might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. McGee works Kibaki's body with a nice hook. McGee ducks under a wild hook from Kibaki. Kibaki looks gassed! McGee defending well as Kibaki loads up on a big left hand. Kibaki throws a shot from downtown. McGee moves away and avoids it. McGee uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kibaki. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kibaki throws a nice looking combination but McGee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kibaki throws a hook but McGee avoids it easily. McGee displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. McGee throws a series of strikes that have Kibaki backpedaling.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kyle McGee will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Kyle McGee's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
McGee cracks Kibaki with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
