Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Rolling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wayne Owens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Erik Rolling!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rolling leaves Owens with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rolling tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Owens fails with the takedown.
Erik Rolling seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rolling closes the distance and pushes Owens back into the cage.
Rolling tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Owens just stands there and leans against the cage.
Owens misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Rolling.
Owens tries to circle away but Rolling has him pinned against the cage.
Rolling keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Owens's efforts to push away.
Rolling gets through Owens's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Owens is trying to force a seperation but Rolling has the dominant position.
With the fighters up against the cage, Owens throws an elbow but misses.
Rolling is trying to drag Owens to the mat but Owens just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Rolling tries to pull guard but Owens won't allow it.
Wayne Owens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erik Rolling.

Owens really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rolling can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Owens landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Owens wants to take a breather but Rolling is having none of it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rolling has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Owens is working away from the top position though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Rolling tries to clinch but Owens is having none of it.
Owens tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rolling was well out of range. Poor timing from Owens.

Rolling has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Owens is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Rolling lands a left hand that snaps the head of Owens backwards.

Rolling forces Owens back against the cage and clinches.
Owens drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rolling gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Owens has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rolling avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Rolling pushes Owens back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
A right hook to the body lands for Rolling.
Owens fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wayne Owens. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rolling digs a right hand into Owens's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Owens's gas tank.

Rolling jumps guard but Owens stands there with Rolling around his waist. Rolling gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Rolling working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Owens doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Owens manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Rolling bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Owens's guard.
Owens wants to stand and escape but Rolling is having none of it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Owens keeping moving, preventing Rolling from controlling successfully.
Rolling is looking to work some ground and pound but Owens has wrist control.
Rolling trying to control but Owens is working from the bottom.
Rolling might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Owens kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rolling tries to close the distance and clinch but Owens swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Owens tries to bum rush Rolling with a series of wild strikes but Rolling uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Rolling closes the distance and pushes Owens back into the cage.

Rolling breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rolling throws a one two combo.
Rolling tries to clinch there but Owens circles away.

Rolling is looking to clinch but Owens is avoiding it.

and Owens counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Owens throws a strike but Rolling rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Owens is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rolling is controlling him.
Rolling must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Erik Rolling showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Owens's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Owens chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rolling can pounce on him.
Rolling takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Rolling tries to clinch but Owens is having none of it.
Owens looks to land a combination but Rolling avoids it well.
Owens fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rolling avoids it really well and circles away.

Wayne Owens is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rolling looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Rolling clinches up with Owens and pushes him back against the cage.

Owens is squirming around, avoiding Rolling's attempts to control the action.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

I've got Rolling winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
