The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel throws a series of punches but Kushkov avoids them all with ease.
Steel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kushkov's waist but Kushkov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Steel off to one side.
Steel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kushkov pinned against the cage. Kushkov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Randy Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
