Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Ivanovits (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexis Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivanovits kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Odorants - This Night. Sergei Ivanovits has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alexis Stone!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stone forces Ivanovits back against the cage and clinches.

It looks like Alexis Stone has been cut.

Stone manages to break the clinch.

Stone has managed to clinch.
Ivanovits throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ivanovits takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Ivanovits cracks Stone with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Stone tries to break free but Ivanovits pushes him back against the cage.
Ivanovits cracks Stone with a nice body shot.

Ivanovits's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ivanovits fails with a takedown attempt.
Stone is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ivanovits.


That has opened up Alexis Stone's cut even more.

Ivanovits darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Ivanovits seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stone does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Stone is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ivanovits's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ivanovits's back!
Stone has the hooks in. Ivanovits is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Ivanovits looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Stone throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ivanovits was covering up waiting for the punch and Stone finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ivanovits will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stone can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ivanovits swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Stone is now in Ivanovits's guard. A big mistake from Ivanovits there, giving up the dominant position!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ivanovits swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Stone is now in Ivanovits's guard. A big mistake from Ivanovits there, giving up the dominant position!

Alexis Stone comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Stone has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
