Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Christopher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz has chosen Stronger as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Christopher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Cruz! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Christopher fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Christopher throws a head kick that misses. Cruz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Christopher sprawls well. Christopher wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cruz gets slowly back to his feet. Christopher throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cruz wants to clinch up but Christopher keeps it at a distance. Cruz fails in his attempt to clinch. Jab, jab by Christopher - just one landing. Cruz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Christopher was covering up waiting for the punch and Cruz finishes the takedown easily into guard. Cruz decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cruz avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Cruz looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Cruz blocks a head kick by Christopher.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cruz looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Christopher moves in looking to clinch but Cruz pushes him off. Christopher throws a nice looking combination but Cruz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Cruz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Christopher tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Cruz takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cruz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Christopher swats him away and circles back towards the center. Christopher throws a front kick aimed at Cruz's knee but Cruz avoids it well. Christopher misses with the combination.
Cruz shoots in for a takedown but Christopher shows good takedown defense. Cruz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Cruz is looking to take a break and control but Christopher is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Christopher is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Christopher tries to get back to half guard but can't. Cruz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Christopher keeps working. Cruz working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Christopher is not content to let Cruz control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Cruz working the ground and pound but Christopher is defending the strikes.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Christopher throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Christopher tries to clinch up and Cruz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Christopher throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Christopher on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Christopher tries to get out of the position. Cruz not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Cruz dominated that round. That's time! Christopher's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Cruz fails with a takedown attempt. Christopher throws a sloppy head kick and Cruz counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Christopher's guard now. Christopher keeping moving, preventing Cruz from controlling successfully. Cruz gets to his feet - Christopher follows without any prompting. Christopher looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Christopher throws a series of strikes that have Cruz backpedaling.
Kevin Christopher is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Christopher swings and misses with a shot to the body and Cruz decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Christopher's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Christopher wants to stand and escape but Cruz is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cruz wants to control from the top but Christopher keeps moving. Cruz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Christopher is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cruz is controlling him. Christopher working a defensive guard here.
Christopher keeping moving, preventing Cruz from controlling successfully. Christopher knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cruz on the ground. Cruz tries to free his leg and advance position but Christopher is retaining full guard. Cruz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Christopher darts in trying to clinch and Cruz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Christopher is trying to control the position but Cruz postures up. Cruz decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Cruz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Cruz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Cruz looking to control but Christopher is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cruz has hold of Christopher's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Christopher manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Christopher is wriggling around trying to escape.
Christopher is bucking up trying to escape but Cruz cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Christopher defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Cruz. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cruz stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Cruz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Christopher sprawls well. Christopher wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cruz gets slowly back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Christopher stuffs the takedown attempt from Cruz. Cruz gets slowly back to his feet. Kevin Christopher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Cruz. Cruz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Christopher circles away. Cruz looks to throw the jab but Christopher is out of range. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cruz shoots for a takedown but Christopher saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Cruz is trying hard to land a takedown here. Christopher sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Christopher drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Cruz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Christopher fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Cruz is out of range. Christopher throws a wild body kick that Cruz sees coming a mile off. Cruz tries for a takedown but Christopher circles away easily and Christopher counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Christopher misses with a low kick. Cruz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Christopher tries to avoid it but Cruz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Christopher to the ground. Christopher escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Cruz tries to clinch there but Christopher circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Christopher doesn't manage to clinch there - Cruz circles away.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Christopher throws a leg kick that misses. Cruz tries for a takedown but Christopher sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kevin Christopher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Cruz.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cruz moves out of range of the leg kick from Christopher. No joy there for Christopher, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cruz shoots and misses and Christopher counters with a nice uppercut. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Christopher!
Christopher lands with a shot to the body. Christopher throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Cruz counters with a single leg into guard. Christopher didn't expect that. Cruz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Christopher is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cruz trying to control but Christopher is working from the bottom. Cruz might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Christopher kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Cruz stands up from guard. Let's bang! Christopher throws a leg kick and Cruz counters with a shoot takedown. Christopher fights it but they end up in guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Christopher pushes Cruz off and gets back to his feet.
Cruz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Christopher is fending him off so far but Cruz persists. Nope, Christopher circles away and we're back to standing. Andrew Cruz is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cruz tries to clinch but Christopher moves out of range. Cruz pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cruz with a lazy takedown attempt and Christopher counters with a one-two to the body. Christopher misses with a wild combination.
Christopher ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cruz moves away. Cruz shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Christopher manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cruz tries to free his leg and advance position but Christopher is retaining full guard. Christopher is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cruz is controlling him. Cruz connects with a couple of short punches. Christopher keeping moving, preventing Cruz from controlling successfully. Christopher is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Cruz dives into side control.

And that's the end of the fight! Andrew Cruz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Cruz winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
