The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veb on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mendoza. Mendoza obviously looking to wear him down.

Veb moves in looking to clinch but Mendoza pushes him off.
Mendoza tries a head kick but it misses.
Mendoza feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Veb's calf.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mendoza cracks Veb with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Veb looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Mendoza finish him?

It looks like BJ Veb has been cut.
