Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joulu Pukki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gegard Matzalon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joulu Pukki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gegard Matzalon! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pukki closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Matzalon to the mat! Matzalon manages to get full guard. Matzalon wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Pukki is now in half guard. Matzalon looking for submissions off his back. Pukki perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Matzalon is trying to control but Pukki passes into side control!
Matzalon is looking to regain half guard here but Pukki keeps moving and retains side control. Matzalon is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pukki's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Matzalon actively working from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matzalon looking for submissions off his back. Pukki wants to pass to mount but Matzalon is defending the position. Pukki passes to full mount! Pukki looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Matzalon tries to lock up and control but Pukki gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Pukki tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Pukki's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Matzalon tries to improve his position but instead Pukki has taken his back! I really don't envy Matzalon right now.
Matzalon is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Pukki controls the position. Matzalon is holding onto Pukki's left hand, preventing any choke attempts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pukki trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Matzalon doesn't escape. I really don't envy Matzalon right now.
Pukki has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Matzalon rolls, trying to escape but Pukki keeps control of the position.
Good control from Pukki. Matzalon is trying to roll into a better position but Pukki has get a rear naked choke and Matzalon is forced to tap out! This one is allllll over!
