Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joao Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Carl Orff - Carmina Burana - André Rieu's version. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Joao Alves enters the cage!

With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andy Jones!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joao Alves!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Alves got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alves has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Andy Jones.
