Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Giril Kovalenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Wong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kovalenko comes to the cage accompanied by Judas Priest - Grinder. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wong gets caught flat footed, as Kovalenko shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kovalenko missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Wong is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Kovalenko looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wong is fending him off so far but Kovalenko persists. Nope, Wong circles away and we're back to standing.

Kovalenko tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Kovalenko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kovalenko in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Wong looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Kovalenko turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
