Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between shinshi uno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). uno comes to the cage accompanied by Aqui a tristeza pula de alegria. dos Santos has chosen The Contender as his entrance music. shinshi uno has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, shinshi uno! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson dos Santos! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! dos Santos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in uno's guard. dos Santos is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. dos Santos gets to his feet. uno looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! dos Santos gets a takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. dos Santos moves into full mount! uno won't be happy about that! dos Santos takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. uno is working to get back to half guard.
uno is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. dos Santos controlling the pace for now. dos Santos is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! uno doesn't succeed with the takedown and dos Santos counters with a nice double leg into guard. dos Santos showing good wrestling skills to control the position. I looks like dos Santos might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Despite being in the dominant position, Anderson dos Santos just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. dos Santos clinches.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as uno accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. uno throws a big right hand that misses. uno throws a big right hand that misses. uno keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of dos Santos's head.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. uno loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. uno throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. dos Santos is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. uno gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and dos Santos counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for uno! dos Santos is looking to work his way around to uno's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. uno working to try and regain half guard.
dos Santos is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. uno can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Anderson dos Santos dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
uno with a poor takedown and dos Santos counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. dos Santos looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. uno is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of dos Santos's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take dos Santos's back! dos Santos breaks uno's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
uno is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. dos Santos is aware though and is defending well. uno tries to land a sweep but no joy. dos Santos content to stall in guard here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. dos Santos trying to control but uno is working from the bottom. dos Santos is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. uno looking for a guillotine here but dos Santos defends easily.
uno has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. uno looking for a sweep. Not yet uno, not yet. Anderson dos Santos has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. dos Santos stays in close to uno's body and controls the position. uno has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but dos Santos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. dos Santos postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! uno is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of dos Santos, into his guard. dos Santos is adopting a defensive guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. uno stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. dos Santos swivels though and keeps the full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as dos Santos holds on and takes a little breather. uno throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as dos Santos works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. uno loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. dos Santos pulls uno in close to prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. dos Santos is trying to control the position from the bottom.

You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. uno trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. dos Santos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and dos Santos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. uno looking for a sweep. Not yet uno, not yet. dos Santos avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Anderson dos Santos is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. dos Santos trying to control the position from guard on top but uno is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! Anderson dos Santos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well dos Santos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
