Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Cabresco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian McNamara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Cabresco looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Cabresco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian McNamara!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabresco misses with a few strikes there.
Cabresco tries to clinch but McNamara is having none of it.
Cabresco throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McNamara shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cabresco looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A solid leg kick lands there for Cabresco.
McNamara wants to slow Cabresco down by chopping away at his legs.
McNamara getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

and McNamara counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cabresco throws a head kick that misses.
McNamara throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Cabresco.


It looks like David Cabresco has been cut.

Cabresco is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McNamara accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McNamara working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Cabresco throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Cabresco is trying to control the position but McNamara postures up.
McNamara slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
McNamara wants to control from the top but Cabresco keeps moving.
McNamara is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Cabresco is pulling down on McNamara's head to control his posture.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

McNamara is riding his opponent, not letting Cabresco buck him off.

David Cabresco is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

McNamara lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cabresco!

McNamara can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cabresco is looking to escape.
Cabresco is desperately trying to improve his position but McNamara has a good base and remains in mount.

McNamara postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cabresco looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Cabresco regains full guard. Nicely done.

A close second round but Brian McNamara will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

McNamara tries to land knees in the clinch but Cabresco avoids the damage to the body.

Cabresco keeps the fight in the clinch, despite McNamara's efforts to push away.

A short body shot lands from Cabresco as the two fighters clinch.

David Cabresco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian McNamara.
McNamara jumps guard but Cabresco stands there with McNamara around his waist. McNamara gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Cabresco wants to lay and pray for a moment but McNamara keeps working.
McNamara manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Cabresco is keen to just control but McNamara is a slippery customer.

David Cabresco has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Cabresco drops back, looking for a kneebar! McNamara looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McNamara looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McNamara!

Cabresco is trying to control McNamara's posture but McNamara avoids it.

McNamara working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Cabresco tries to bench press McNamara off him but McNamara keeps the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
David Cabresco showed his dominance in that final round.
I think McNamara has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
