Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Cabrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Fortyfive (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Cabrera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Fortyfive!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cabrera shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cabrera was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Cabrera thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Fortyfive tries to lock up and control but Cabrera gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fortyfive tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fortyfive is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Cabrera with a couple of short strikes.
Fortyfive is wriggling around trying to escape.
Cabrera lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Fortyfive is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Cabrera pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Cabrera lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Fortyfive's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Cabrera postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Fortyfive looks a forlorn figure.

Cabrera can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fortyfive is looking to escape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fortyfive tries to hold on but Cabrera postures up.
Fortyfive is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fortyfive working to try and regain half guard.
Fortyfive is trying to stand up.

Cabrera looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Fortyfive wants to control but Cabrera is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Cabrera's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Fortyfive throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cabrera's waist but Cabrera gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fortyfive off to one side.

Fortyfive wants to control the pace but Cabrera is squirming around nicely.

Fortyfive throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Cabrera tries to hold on but Fortyfive pushes him away.

Fortyfive gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

and Cabrera counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fortyfive's guard now.
Cabrera passes Fortyfive's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Fortyfive throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Fortyfive is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cabrera is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Fortyfive counters with a nice leg kick.

Fortyfive is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Cabrera fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fortyfive, pushing him back against the cage.
Fortyfive misses with the head strike.
Fortyfive is looking to break free of the clinch but Cabrera has double underhooks.

Cabrera escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fortyfive checks the leg kick.
Cabrera misses with the combination.
Cabrera misses with a kick to the body.
Fortyfive closes the distance looking to clinch

and Cabrera counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Fortyfive shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cabrera manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

David Cabrera overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Fortyfive trying to control the position from guard on top but Cabrera is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Cabrera has his foot on Fortyfive's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fortyfive works his way back into a safe position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fortyfive wants to pass the guard but Cabrera is keeping the position.
Fortyfive looking to sit in guard and control but Cabrera gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Fortyfive looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Cabrera puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Fortyfive makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fortyfive.
Fortyfive controls Cabrera momentarily but Cabrera frees himself.
David Cabrera is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Cabrera might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Cabrera wants to control from the top but Fortyfive keeps moving.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cabrera seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Fortyfive trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Fortyfive pulls Cabrera in close to prevent any damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

I would just about give that final round to Johnny Fortyfive.
