Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between HH Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saint Patrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patrick has chosen Eminem - Not Afraid as his entrance music. HH Holmes had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patrick shoots in and bounces Holmes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Holmes keeping moving, preventing Patrick from controlling successfully.
Holmes wants to get back to his feet but Patrick passes into half guard.

Patrick is looking to take a break and control but Holmes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Patrick is working for a kimura but Holmes is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Patrick thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Saint Patrick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Holmes shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Patrick defends it nicely.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Patrick doesn't manage to clinch there - Holmes circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Holmes. No joy for Patrick on that attempt.
Patrick fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Holmes has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Patrick finds it's way round the side to connect with Holmes's head.
Patrick connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Patrick tries to score a power double leg takedown but Holmes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Patrick somewhat.

HH Holmes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saint Patrick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Holmes slips a jab and a cross from Patrick.
Patrick tries to clinch but Holmes is having none of it.

Holmes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Patrick escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Holmes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Holmes is working Patrick over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

and Patrick counters with a left and a right that stings Holmes.

and Patrick counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Holmes stalks Patrick and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Patrick's face. Patrick staggers backwards, shaken.
Patrick shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Holmes as he avoids it easily.
Patrick tries to clinch up.
Patrick misses with a head kick.
Patrick looks for the body kick but Holmes saw that one coming.
Holmes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Patrick sprawls well. Patrick wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Holmes gets slowly back to his feet.
Patrick shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Holmes as he jumps to the side.

Patrick doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Holmes counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
HH Holmes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Holmes throws a series of strikes that have Patrick backpedaling.
Patrick lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Patrick throws a right hand that Holmes ducks under and follows up with a left that Holmes also avoids with ease.
A punch lands to the side of Holmes 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Patrick moves into range and connects with a jab.
Patrick darts in and clinches Holmes up against the cage.
Holmes gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Holmes postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Holmes is in close to Patrick's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Holmes wanted to stand there but Patrick had control of the position.
Patrick is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Holmes defends well.
Patrick controls Holmes momentarily but Holmes frees himself.
Patrick is looking to stand up but Holmes isn't so interested in that idea.
Holmes wants to get up but he can't break Patrick's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Holmes has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Holmes throws a strike but Patrick rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

You can see the frustration on Patrick's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Holmes tries to score with some ground and pound. Patrick controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Patrick manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Patrick seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Holmes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Holmes scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Patrick manages to mount him!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Patrick has control of Holmes's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Holmes regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Holmes is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Patrick tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight!
HH Holmes showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Holmes has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
