Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Manuel Francisco dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vern Troyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vern Troyer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

dos Santos seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Troyer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Troyer lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for dos Santos!
Troyer tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
You get the feeling that dos Santos really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Troyer goes for an armbar but dos Santos turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from dos Santos.
dos Santos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Troyer on the ground.
Troyer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Troyer wants to lay and pray for a moment but dos Santos keeps working.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Troyer is trying to maintain the position but dos Santos is very close to passing his half guard.
