Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Shelter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Johnston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnston takes the fight into the clinch.

Shelter is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Johnston can't fight it off and eventually Shelter manages to take the fight to the floor. Johnston looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Johnston can't keep his opponent in guard - Shelter advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Johnston pushes Shelter off looking to stand but Shelter dives back in and keeps control.
Johnston holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Shelter wants to pass to mount but Johnston is defending the position.
Shelter trying to control from half guard but Johnston is working away.
Shelter is looking to advance position but Johnston won't allow it.
Shelter sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Johnston defending well though.

Shelter is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Shelter works his way into full mount!

Shelter is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Johnston is surviving well by controlling Shelter's body position as best he can.
Johnston really wants to buck Shelter off and get back to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Johnston is trying desperately to improve position.

Shelter working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Shelter jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Johnston is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Johnston and Shelter has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Shelter connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Johnston some visible discomfort.
