Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Roosevelt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nogueira is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Artigo 157. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frank Roosevelt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Antonio Nogueira! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roosevelt just misses with a punch to the body.
Roosevelt misses with a head kick.
Roosevelt tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Roosevelt pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Roosevelt tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nogueira swats him away and circles back towards the center. Roosevelt fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Nogueira is out of range. Nogueira shoots for a double leg takedown but Roosevelt sprawls well. He's pushed Nogueira's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A bone on bone clash there as Nogueira blocks the leg kick.
Roosevelt looks to land a body kick but Nogueira moved away. Roosevelt leaves Nogueira with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Roosevelt misses with a leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nogueira gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Roosevelt stopping the sweep attempt from Nogueira. Roosevelt has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Nogueira looking for a guillotine here but Roosevelt defends easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nogueira shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Roosevelt counters with a left to the body. Frank Roosevelt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antonio Nogueira. Nogueira looks gassed! Roosevelt tries to land a front kick but Nogueira steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Roosevelt with a poor takedown and Nogueira decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Roosevelt's guard. Roosevelt is controlling Nogueira's posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roosevelt is looking for a triangle but Nogueira pushes his legs off easily.
Nogueira has gone for a leg lock! Roosevelt slips out almost immediately though and dives into Nogueira's guard. Roosevelt passes easily into side control. Nice work. Roosevelt in side control lands a decent elbow. Roosevelt working the ground and pound. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nogueira is not content to let Roosevelt control the position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Roosevelt lands a few punches from side control. Roosevelt trying to control the position but Nogueira is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roosevelt working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Roosevelt scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Nogueira to see if he's OK. Nogueira is looking for a sweep. Roosevelt scores with a couple of short elbows. Nogueira manages to work his way to half guard, despite Roosevelt's best efforts. Nogueira gets back to full guard.
Nogueira tries to land a sweep but no joy. Roosevelt has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nogueira is proving hard to escape from. Roosevelt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Nogueira is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Nogueira is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roosevelt trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Roosevelt is looking to work some ground and pound but Nogueira has wrist control.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Roosevelt lands with a kick to the ribs.

Nogueira takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Roosevelt shoots in and bounces Nogueira off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Roosevelt trying to control but Nogueira is working from the bottom. Nogueira is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Roosevelt defends well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nogueira has a closed guard, preventing Roosevelt from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roosevelt lands a front kick. Roosevelt throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Roosevelt cracks Nogueira with a good jab. Roosevelt drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Roosevelt forces his way into half guard. Roosevelt decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Roosevelt tries to clinch up but Nogueira circles away and keeps his distance. Nogueira doesn't succeed with the takedown and Roosevelt counters with a leg kick. Roosevelt scores with a punch to the head. Nogueira is breathing heavily. Roosevelt with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roosevelt shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nogueira is trying to defend but Roosevelt finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Roosevelt trying to mount his opponent but Nogueira defends it. Nogueira actively working from the bottom here. Roosevelt escapes and gets back to his feet. Roosevelt thuds his shin into the meat of Nogueira's side. Frank Roosevelt is winning the standup battle so far. Nogueira keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Nice takedown defense from Nogueira. No joy for Roosevelt on that attempt. Nogueira keeps the fight on the outside. Nogueira fails with the takedown and Roosevelt counters with a nice low kick that buckles Nogueira's knee momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roosevelt scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nogueira is letting Roosevelt control him for a moment. Nogueira tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Roosevelt wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Roosevelt working the body and head with strikes. Roosevelt is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Nogueira will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Roosevelt tries to move into full mount but can't pass Nogueira's legs. Roosevelt is working Nogueira over with some ground and pound from side control. Roosevelt lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Frank Roosevelt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Nogueira tries to buck Roosevelt off but Roosevelt is having none of it. Roosevelt decides to stand back up. Roosevelt steps back and let's Nogueira get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Roosevelt.

Frank Roosevelt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roosevelt shoots and misses and Nogueira counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Roosevelt is trying to stand back up but Nogueira is controlling him
Nogueira wants to free his trapped foot but Roosevelt is holding on for dear life with his legs. Nogueira works his way into side control. Nogueira has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Roosevelt! Roosevelt really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Nogueira is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Roosevelt is in real trouble.
Roosevelt tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Roosevelt tries to get back to half guard but can't. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nogueira wants to take Roosevelt's back but he can't do it this time. Nogueira working for a guillotine from mount but Roosevelt is in no mood to give up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roosevelt misses with a takedown attempt - Nogueira sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Nogueira closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nogueira lands in his opponent's guard. Nogueira drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Roosevelt dives on top into guard. Roosevelt pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nogueira is keeping the position for now. Nogueira looking for a sweep. Not yet Nogueira, not yet. Roosevelt cracks Nogueira with a solid left hand. Nogueira takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roosevelt is in close to Nogueira's body, working some short punches and elbows. Roosevelt wants to get up but he can't break Nogueira's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Roosevelt stopping the sweep attempt from Nogueira. Roosevelt scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Roosevelt wants to control from the top but Nogueira keeps moving. Nogueira is working an open guard so Roosevelt takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Nogueira shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Nogueira is pressing down on Roosevelt's thigh, looking to free his foot. Roosevelt is holding on for now. Nogueira stops Roosevelt from getting back to his feet.

Roosevelt tries to hold on but Nogueira pushes him away. Roosevelt controls the position. Nogueira throwing strikes here but Roosevelt is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Nogueira thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Nogueira avoids the attempt from Roosevelt to control. A nice elbow there by Nogueira.
And that's the end of the fight! Antonio Nogueira comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Roosevelt has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
