Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Logan Wolverine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Zodiac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wolverine comes to the cage accompanied by I stand Alone - Godsmack. Steve Zodiac will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolverine swats away the attempt to clinch by Zodiac.
Wolverine throws a head kick that misses.
Zodiac fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Wolverine gets the takedown into side control.
Zodiac is trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wolverine stands up.
Zodiac has his takedown stuffed
and Wolverine counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Wolverine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zodiac swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Zodiac not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Wolverine won't allow Zodiac to sweep him here.

Zodiac escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wolverine gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Wolverine counters with a shoot takedown. Zodiac fights it but they end up in guard.

Wolverine wants to control from the top but Zodiac keeps moving.
Zodiac is looking for a triangle here but Wolverine uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Wolverine can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zodiac is looking to escape.

Wolverine wants to control the pace but Zodiac is squirming around nicely.
Zodiac slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Zodiac is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Zodiac is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Wolverine prevents Zodiac from improving his position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Zodiac takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Zodiac clinches but Wolverine breaks the clinch
and Wolverine counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Zodiac wants to control but Wolverine is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Zodiac is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Zodiac tries to land a sweep but no joy.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Zodiac is on top in guard.

Zodiac decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Wolverine, up you get!
Wolverine drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Wolverine makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Zodiac is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Zodiac manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Zodiac is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Wolverine is surviving well by controlling Zodiac's body position as best he can.
Zodiac is trying to take his opponent's back.
Zodiac wants to control the pace but Wolverine is squirming around nicely.
Zodiac looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zodiac swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Wolverine is now in Zodiac's guard. A big mistake from Zodiac there, giving up the dominant position!

Wolverine keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Zodiac's head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Logan Wolverine dominated that round.

Wolverine moves into range and clinches up with Zodiac.
Wolverine is trying to stall.
Zodiac tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Wolverine is working for takedown but Zodiac is calmly controlling the position for now.
Zodiac throws a punch but it's blocked by Wolverine.
Zodiac throws a knee to the head but misses.
Zodiac tries to pull guard but Wolverine won't allow it.
Wolverine stops a takedown attempt from Zodiac.
Logan Wolverine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Zodiac.
Zodiac has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wolverine uses from the top position.
Zodiac looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Zodiac has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wolverine can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Zodiac looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Wolverine is defending well. Zodiac quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Wolverine has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Zodiac celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
