Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ari Birmiski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Birmiski comes into the arena with I'm Back - T.I blaring out of the sound system. Hogan has chosen Lose Yourself as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arnold Hogan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Birmiski bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hogan dives in and grabs Birmiski's left leg, looking for a takedown. Birmiski pushes down on Hogan's head and hops out.
Birmiski showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hogan.
Birmiski tries for a takedown but Hogan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Birmiski on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Hogan clinches with his opponent.
Birmiski has Hogan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hogan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Hogan gets through Birmiski's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Hogan stops a takedown attempt from Birmiski.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ari Birmiski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hogan scores with a shoulder strike.
Birmiski jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hogan walks away with a smile on his face. Birmiski gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Birmiski rushes Hogan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hogan works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hogan.

Birmiski has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hogan uses from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Birmiski has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hogan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hogan wants to control from the top but Birmiski keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Birmiski has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Hogan should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Birmiski has tightened it up now! Hogan should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
