Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kung Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuji Hioki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Kung Lee has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kung Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuji Hioki! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hioki looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lee is fending him off so far but Hioki persists. Nope, Lee circles away and we're back to standing. Hioki looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Lee tries to clinch but Hioki moves out of range. Hioki chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lee can pounce on him.
Good leg kick by Lee there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hioki shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Hioki feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lee throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Lee looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hioki is one step ahead there. Lee is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hioki is controlling him. Hioki won't allow Lee to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee managing to control the position. Lee wants to get back to his feet but Hioki is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Hioki trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lee tries a head kick but it misses.
Hioki walks into a stiff left hand from Lee. Lee works over Hioki's head and body with a nice combination. A cross from Lee lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lee lands with a straight right. Hioki didn't see that one coming. Lee throws a head kick that Hioki semi-blocks.
Hioki shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hioki showed some decent athleticism there. Lee is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hioki's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hioki's back! Hioki is keeping busy.
Lee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hioki on the ground. Lee is really struggling to control Hioki but he's trying to hold on to the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Kung Lee just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Hioki takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Lee closes the distance and pushes Hioki back into the cage. Lee presses Hioki against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Lee lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Lee stalling against the cage.
Lee lands with a short head shot on the inside. Lee could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lee lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hioki backwards. Lee tries to break the clinch but Hioki is controlling the position. Lee scores with a hook to the body. Lee lands with a right to the head. Lee digs a right hand underneath Hioki's ribcage. Hioki let out a lung full of air as it connected. Lee lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Hioki wants to break free but Lee has control.
A short body shot lands from Lee as the two fighters clinch.
Hioki changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lee fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Lee cracks the inside of Hioki's front leg. Lee lands a front kick. Lee moves into range and connects with a jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kung Lee will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Lee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lee lunges at Hioki with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hioki's hand. Hioki on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Lee lands a two punch combo.
Lee throws a right and a left that Hioki avoids nicely. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Lee, right into the meat.
Lee scores with a three punch combo!
Lee connects with a nice looking jab.
Lee with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hioki takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Lee misses with a series of wild punches.
Hioki is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Lee lands a jab-cross combination. Lee swats away the attempt to clinch by Hioki. Lee throws a nice outside leg kick. Hioki gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Hioki looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Hioki avoids the head kick by Lee.
Lee scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hioki throws a hook to the side of Lee's head but Lee sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Hioki takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Lee scores with a head kick.
Hioki takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Hioki takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Hioki shoots in and drives through. Lee sprawls well. Lee throws a head kick that half lands.
Kung Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lee works Hioki's body with a nice hook. Hioki takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Hioki takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee scores with a jab to the jaw. Lee scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Lee pushes Hioki up against the cage in a clinch. Hioki jumps guard but Lee stands there with Hioki around his waist. Hioki gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Lee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lee throws a combination. Hioki tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Lee chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Lee lands a head kick. Hioki smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Lee tries to clinch but Hioki moves out of range. Kung Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lee thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hioki if he has to take too many more of those.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee lands a head kick. Hioki smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Lee lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Hioki takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Hioki's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Lee lands with a thumping leg kick.
Lee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lee tries to clinch but Hioki is having none of it. Hioki avoids the head kick by Lee.
Hioki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lee swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lee cracks Hioki with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Kung Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A slapping leg kick lands for Lee.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kung Lee dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Hioki moves out of range easily. Hioki tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hioki paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lee lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Lee defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hioki. Lee closes the distance and clinches. Lee presses Hioki against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Lee lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Hioki takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A short right from Lee on the inside. Lee lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Lee presses Hioki against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Hioki tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lee smiles and moves away.
Lee gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is keeping an eye on Lee - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Lee lands with a right to the head. Lee lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Hioki or not. Lee lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. A short left from Lee. A right hand to the body from Lee.
Lee scores with a hook to the body. Lee makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Hioki has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. A short right hand to the side of the head by Lee. Lee lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Lee gets through Hioki's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lee is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lee throws a front kick that sends Hioki stumbling back into the cage. Lee dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hioki. That did some damage! Lee lands a jab to the nose. Lee delivers a nice body kick. Hioki takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Lee darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Lee throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Nice jab there from Lee. Good exchange - Lee coming out on top. Lee scores with a one two! Hioki had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee throws a nice inside leg kick. Hioki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hioki takes a jab right on the kisser.
Kung Lee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hioki stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lee. Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Hioki moves out of range easily. Nice straight punches there by Lee. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Lee. Lee moves into range and clinches up with Hioki. Lee gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hioki.
Kung Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yuji Hioki. Lee lands a nice uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lee presses Hioki against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Lee misses with a knee strike.
A body shot lands from Lee.
Lee lands with a light punch inside. Lee throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hioki blocks it with crossed arms. A nice left hand lands by Lee.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Lee creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Lee gets underhooks to prevent Hioki's takedown attempt.
A short right from Lee on the inside. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lee lands a nice shot to the body. Lee lands a right hand. Yuji Hioki has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lee manages to break the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Kung Lee showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
