Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Baki Grappler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grappler kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Let the bodies hit the floor. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Baki Grappler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson Silva! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grappler has closed the distance and engaged Silva in a clinch.
Silva is fighting off a takedown attempt but Grappler is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Silva to the mat. Silva regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Grappler postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Grappler working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Silva's head. Grappler stands and throws Silva's legs to the side, diving into side control. Silva is trying to control Grappler's posture but Grappler avoids it. Silva takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Grappler lands some shots froms side control. Grappler throws a strike aimed at the side of Silva's head but Silva avoids it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grappler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working. Silva tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Grappler wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Silva managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Grappler.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Silva can't do much from the bottom here. Grappler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Silva takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's one minute gone in the round. Silva is trying to escape the position but Grappler is controlling the position. Silva wants to control but Grappler postures up. Grappler throws a strike aimed at the side of Silva's head but Silva avoids it well. Grappler working the ground and pound.
Silva is rocked! Grappler lands a nice forearm strike. Silva is still in real trouble! Can Grappler finish him? Grappler is working Silva over with some ground and pound from side control. Grappler is putting a hurting on Silva here, landing some big shots from side control. Silva on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Grappler working the head and body with strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee asks Grappler politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Grappler prefers to stall for the moment though. Grappler working the body and head with strikes. Grappler works to advance to full mount. Silva defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Grappler lands with some strikes. BOOM! Grappler connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Grappler is landing with some decent strikes but Silva is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Grappler lands with some strikes. The referee warns Silva that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Silva is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Grappler fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Grappler is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Silva has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Grappler has control of Silva's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Silva regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Grappler is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Silva can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Silva is in a horrible position here. Grappler smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Grappler lands a nice shot to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grappler is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Grappler!
