Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gravy Train!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paul Lacroix!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lacroix misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Train wants to clinch.
Lacroix lands a two punch combo.
Train throws a front kick that sends Lacroix stumbling back into the cage.
A big left from Lacroix misses.

Train darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Train trying to pass the guard but Lacroix defending well.
Train has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Lacroix is wriggling around trying to escape.
You get the feeling that Lacroix really doesn't like being in this position too much.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Train is on top in guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Lacroix throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Train was covering up waiting for the punch and Lacroix finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lacroix goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Train is looking to clinch.

enabling Lacroix to counter with a crisp jab.

A close round but Paul Lacroix will probably get the nod.

Paul Lacroix showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
