Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Kain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Polo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kain comes to the cage accompanied by Irresponsible Hate Anthem. Jason Kain had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Kain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marco Polo!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kain throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Marco Polo has been cut.
Polo looks for a takedown but Kain sprawls well.
Kain avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Polo stuffs the takedown attempt from Kain. Kain gets slowly back to his feet.
Kain clinches.
Kain is trying to drag Polo to the mat but Polo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Kain manages to break the clinch.
Kain closes the distance and clinches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kain tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Kain. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Polo trying to control the position but instead, Kain has worked for underhooks and has pushed Polo into the cage.
Kain tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Polo just stands there and leans against the cage.
Kain pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Polo wants to clinch
and Kain counters with a one-two to the body.
Polo looks gassed!
Kain lands a nice looking body shot.

Kain clinches up against the cage.
Polo trying to stall but Kain improves his position.
Kain breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kain moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Kain takes the fight into the clinch.
Kain changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Polo fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kain closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kain lands in his opponent's guard.

Kain is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Polo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Jason Kain just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Kain moves into the clinch successfully.
Polo prevents the takedown attempt.
Kain stalling against the cage.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Polo tries a knee to the head but Kain blocks it.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Kain manages to break the clinch.

Kain gets in close and instigates a clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Polo tries to pull guard but Kain won't allow it.
Polo gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kain.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kain shoots for a double leg takedown but Polo sprawls well. He's pushed Kain's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kain.
Polo clinches but Kain breaks the clinch
and Kain counters with a big head kick but Polo shrugs it off.
Polo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kain counters by moving into the clinch.
Polo prevents a takedown attempt there.

Kain escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kain shoots in for a double leg but Polo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Kain tries to stall but Polo uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Kain blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Kain obliges.

Kain fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Kain is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Polo pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Kain is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Polo is keeping busy.
Kain manages to break the clinch.
Kain shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Polo defends it nicely.
Polo gets caught flat footed, as Kain shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kain is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Kain pushing down on Polo's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Kain is looking to take a break and control but Polo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kain content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Polo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kain wants to free his trapped foot but Polo is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Kain is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Polo is just riding it out for now. Kain eventually gives up the hold.
Kain is taking a breather. Polo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Jason Kain just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Kain shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Polo's guard.
Polo keeping moving, preventing Kain from controlling successfully.
Kain showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Kain is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Kain looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Kain has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Polo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Polo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Kain slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Kain drops back looking for a leg! Polo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Polo manages to kick Kain off! Kain jumps back into Polo's guard.
Jason Kain is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kain is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Kain sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Polo's guard.
Kain is controlling the pace.
Kain is looking to advance position but Polo won't allow it.
Marco Polo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kain moves into full mount! Polo won't be happy about that!

Well Kain has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
