Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michaels comes into the arena with "PFF" by Hank III blaring out of the sound system. Eric Michaels could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Benny Paul's chin.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul dodges the punch combination from Michaels.
Paul swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Paul throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Horrible takedown by Michaels or perhaps it was just good defense by Paul which made him look bad.
Nice sprawl there from Paul as Michaels shoots in.
Michaels throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Michaels shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Paul as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Michaels. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Michaels misses the body punch
and Paul counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Michaels regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Paul.

Michaels looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Paul trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Michaels manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Paul has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Michaels off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Michaels gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Paul counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Michaels!
Michaels is breathing heavily.
Paul postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Michaels looks a forlorn figure.
Paul wants to finish this one by submission but Michaels is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Paul.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Paul lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Michaels sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Paul tries to stand and escape but Michaels is controlling the position.
Paul throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Michaels wants to sweep but Paul has passed to side control!
Michaels is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Paul has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Michaels throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Paul creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Michaels sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Paul has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Michaels misses with a takedown
and Paul counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Michaels!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Paul can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Michaels is looking to escape.

Michaels is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Paul breaks from Michaels's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Michaels is rocked!
It looks like Eric Michaels has been cut.
Michaels takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Paul's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
