Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Noah Qualls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Nelson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Noah Qualls! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Nelson! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Qualls tries to bum rush Nelson with a series of wild strikes but Nelson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nelson tries to clinch but Qualls moves out of range. Nice straight punches there by Nelson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Nelson. Qualls throws a body punch but Nelson moves out of range. Nelson dodges the punch combination from Qualls.
Qualls drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Qualls wants to control from the top but Nelson keeps moving. Qualls is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Nelson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Nelson has escaped and now he's on top! Qualls looking for a guillotine here but Nelson defends easily.
Qualls is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nelson advances position into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson working away. Nelson controls the position. Nelson wants to control but Qualls is keeping him busy. Qualls throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Nelson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Qualls knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Qualls wants to control but Nelson postures up. Nelson landing strikes. Qualls looks to move to half guard but instead Nelson has passed into mount! Damn! Qualls is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Qualls manages to avoid the submission attempt. Qualls is positioning himself to get back to half guard. You can see the frustration on Qualls's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Nelson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Qualls keeps working. Nelson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Qualls will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Qualls gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Qualls has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nelson is working away from the top position though. Nelson is looking to take a break and control but Qualls is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Qualls wants to control but Nelson passes into side.

Nelson trying to control the action but Qualls is working from the bottom. Nelson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Qualls, who protects the arm well. Nelson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Qualls keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Nelson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Nelson trying to control the action but Qualls is working from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Qualls's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Qualls tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nelson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Nelson just content to control the position. Qualls is positioning himself to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Nelson dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Qualls will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Nelson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Qualls. A slow jab from Qualls misses its intended target. Nelson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Qualls counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Nelson is defending against the submission attempts here by Qualls.
Qualls prevents Nelson from improving his position. Qualls wants to work for an arm triangle but Nelson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Nelson is refusing to be controlled, as Qualls sits in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson regains full guard. Nicely done. Qualls wants to control from the top but Nelson keeps moving. Nelson has Qualls pulled in close to control his posture. Qualls is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Nelson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Nelson has escaped and now he's on top! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nelson wants to control from the top but Qualls keeps moving. Nelson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Nelson gets to his feet. Qualls looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Qualls, right into the meat.
Nelson blocks a jab. Qualls has his takedown stuffed so Nelson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Nelson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Nelson drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Nelson as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Qualls screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Nelson! Nice submission victory there!
