The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Read misses its intended target.
Abdala throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mark Read seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Abdala keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Read.
Abdala blocks a jab.
Read swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Read throws a good cross that connects.
Read fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Abdala manages to avoid it.
Some bone on bone action there as Abdala checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Read walks into a straight right hand from Abdala.
Read throws a body punch but Abdala moves out of range.
Abdala tries to clinch up but Read circles away and keeps his distance.
Abdala lands a big uppercut and Read crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Read looks OK. Abdala waves Read back to his feet!
Read is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
