Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sly Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Starks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stone's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Rambo. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andy Starks! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Bruno Lombardi and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone blocks the body kick.
Starks bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Stone's head backwards.
It looks like Sly Stone has been cut. Stone blocks a head kick by Starks.
Starks tries a head kick but it misses.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Starks. Stone avoids the head kick by Starks.
Horrible takedown by Starks or perhaps it was just good defense by Stone which made him look bad. Starks closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Starks takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Andy Starks has been cut. Starks takes a swing at Stone's ribcage but misses. Starks looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Starks ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stone moves away. Starks connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Stone throws a low kick but it's checked well by Starks.

Starks throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Starks punishes Stone's body with a nice straight punch. Stone swings for the body but Starks moves out of range.
Stone lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Stone lands a big head kick that sends Starks tumbling to the mat! Stone takes a step backwards and waves Starks back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Starks is rocked! Stone waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Starks. Starks throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Stone. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Starks misses with a hook. Stone ducked under it nicely. Stone pivots, looking for a leg kick but Starks is out of range and Stone settles back down. Starks pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Starks looks gassed! Stone throws a head kick that misses. Starks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stone misses with a leg kick and Starks counters with a head kick. Starks throws a lazy head kick and Stone counters with a two punch combo. Starks chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Stone can pounce on him.
Starks lands the left hand. Starks tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Stone lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Starks has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Starks and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Stone misses with a low kick.
Starks throws an overhand right that lands on Stone's shoulder, as Stone tries to avoid the shot. Stone tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The fighters circling - Starks throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Stone tests Starks's chin there with a solid looking shot. Stone takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Starks checks a leg kick nicely. Stone misses with a low kick. Starks fails with a takedown attempt. Stone attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Stone thows a body kick. Starks tries to catch it but that hurt him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stone dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Sly Stone is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Starks chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Stone can pounce on him.

Sly Stone dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Starks cracks Stone with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Starks moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Starks lands with a kick to the temple. Stone shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Starks throws a sloppy head kick and Stone moves out of range easily. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Stone, right into the meat.

Starks is breathing heavily. Stone connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Starks momentarily.

The cut above Andy Starks's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Starks pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sly Stone is winning the standup battle so far. Starks moves forwards but Stone connects with a nice, crisp jab. Nice body punch from Stone. Stone lands with a thumping leg kick.
Starks wants to clinch but Stone slips to the side and Stone counters with a stiff right hand. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Starks might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Stone has got the better of the exchanges. A good leg kick by Stone. Stone lands with an overhand left. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A chopping leg kick lands by Stone. Stone does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Sly Stone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A chopping leg kick lands by Stone. Starks avoids a kick to the body.
Stone is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. A nice leg kick lands there from Stone.

Stone moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Starks steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Stone. That one must have hurt. Stone lands with an uppercut that bounces Starks off the cage and back into rage.
Andy Starks's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Starks shoots for a takedown but Stone saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Stone lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. A kick lands to the mid section there for Stone. No joy there for Stone, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stone tries to work over Starks's front leg with a kick but Starks checks it. A bone on bone clash there as Starks blocks the leg kick.
Starks cracks Stone with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Stone thows a leg kick but Starks checks it and Starks counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Stone utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone wriggles free and stands up. Starks's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Stone fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Stone throws a series of punches but Starks avoids them all with ease. Stone throws a sloppy head kick and Starks moves out of range easily. Starks lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Starks closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stone tries to escape but Starks is in control. Starks throws a strike aimed at the side of Stone's head but Stone avoids it well. Starks throwing strikes but Stone manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Starks tries to get back to half guard but can't. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Starks wants to control but Stone postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Starks thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Starks is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Starks throwing shots but Stone is blocking nicely. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Stone is looking to slow Starks down with leg kicks. Stone will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Stone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Starks circles away quickly and effectively.

Stone stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Stone shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. A combination from Stone does no damage. Stone lands a head shot. Starks scores with a hook. Starks moves out of range of the body kick from Stone.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Starks. Stone keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Starks throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Stone's head. Stone lands a jab. Stone throws a push kick but Starks slaps the foot to one side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone misses with a leg kick. Donk. Stone catches Starks right on the button with a cross. Starks misses with a low kick as Stone jumps back. Starks pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stone moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stone lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Andy Starks's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
