The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drury shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Strop but Strop pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Strop closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Strop looks to throw the jab but Drury is out of range.
Strop misses the shot to the body.
Sigge Strop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Strop displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Drury.

Strop misses with a body shot.
Strop throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Drury keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Strop is trying to maintain the position but Drury is very close to passing his half guard.

Drury seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Strop does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Drury feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
