PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abel Bloodgood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Putzke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Putzke is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Nookie. Scott Putzke told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putzke looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Putzke moves in looking to clinch but Bloodgood pushes him off.
Putzke is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Putzke closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bloodgood circles away.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Putzke has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Bloodgood is trying to keep an underhook but Putzke manages to get the takedown into half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bloodgood has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Putzke is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
