Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hank Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pter Baskov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baskov has chosen Du Hast - Rammstein as his entrance music. Hank Hanson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hank Hanson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pter Baskov! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baskov takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Baskov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hanson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Baskov, pushing him back against the ropes. Baskov decides to pull guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Hanson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Hanson trying to control but Baskov is working from the bottom. Baskov working for a triangle but Hanson defends it easily.
Hanson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baskov tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hanson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hanson trying to control but Baskov is working from the bottom. Baskov trying to keep a closed guard but Hanson is proving a slippery customer.
Hanson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Baskov is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Baskov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hanson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Baskov swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hanson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hanson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Hanson throws a series of strikes that have Baskov backpedaling.
Hanson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Baskov, pushing him back against the ropes. Baskov changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hanson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hanson tries to clinch up but Baskov circles away and keeps his distance. Hanson has managed to clinch.
Baskov fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hank Hanson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pter Baskov. Baskov landing knees to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baskov tries to pull guard but Hanson won't allow it.
Hanson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Baskov is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hanson to the mat. Hanson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Baskov looks gassed! Baskov has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hanson is proving hard to escape from. Hanson pushes Baskov off and scrambles back to his feet.
Nice sprawl there from Hanson as Baskov shoots in. Hanson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Hanson throws a nice outside leg kick. Hanson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Hanson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Baskov is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A solid body kick from Hanson. Baskov is still on wobbly legs! Can Hanson finish him? Hanson clinches. Baskov letting Hanson take a breather here. Hanson lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Baskov or not.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Baskov looking to stall.
Baskov seems to have recovered his senses. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Baskov can't get the takedown.
Hanson tries to stall but Baskov uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Baskov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Hanson tries to circle away but Baskov has him pinned against the ropes. Hanson breaks the clinch.
Hanson moves into the clinch successfully.
Hanson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Baskov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hanson just stands there and leans against the ropes. Hanson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Baskov has him pressed against the ropes. Baskov has picked Hanson up - he's going for a ride! Baskov dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Hanson is looking to control Baskov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hanson avoid being mounted? Hanson is looking to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Baskov is looking to take a break and control but Hanson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hank Hanson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Baskov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hanson but Hanson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hanson fails with an attempt to clinch.

Baskov moves in looking to clinch but Hanson pushes him off. Hanson wants to clinch. Hanson misses with a jab, cross combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hanson misses with a series of wild punches.

Hanson jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Baskov is breathing heavily. Hanson tries to clinch up and Baskov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Hanson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Baskov is controlling him. Baskov is standing up over Hanson. Hanson looks to escape but Baskov dives into side control.
Baskov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Baskov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Baskov is looking to take a break and control but Hanson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hanson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hanson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Baskov on the ground. Hanson can't do much from the bottom here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hanson clinches up with Baskov and pushes him back against the ropes. Hanson has had enough of the clinch but Baskov keeps him there for the moment. Baskov is trying to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hanson lands an elbow just above Baskov 's eye. Baskov wants a takedown.

Baskov misses with a punch on the inside.
Baskov is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Hanson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Baskov is trying to stall.

Hanson lands with a short head shot on the inside. Hanson presses Baskov against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Baskov is trying to drag Hanson to the mat but Hanson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. A short body shot lands from Hanson as the two fighters clinch.

Hanson throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Hanson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hank Hanson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Baskov takes a body punch but keeps moving. Hanson misses with a double jab.
Baskov is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hanson. Hank Hanson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hanson darts in and clinches Baskov up against the ropes. Hanson lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Baskov goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hanson prevents it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hanson is trying to break the clinch but Baskov has him pressed against the ropes. Hanson lands a right hand that snaps the head of Baskov backwards. Baskov tries to pull guard but Hanson won't allow it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hanson breaks the clinch.
Hanson doesn't manage to clinch there - Baskov circles away.
Hanson darts in and clinches Baskov up against the ropes. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hanson stuffs the takedown. Baskov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hanson closes the distance and clinches. Hanson wants to break free but Baskov has control.

That had to hurt Baskov. Hanson lands with a nice combination. Baskov backs away looking to recover. A right-left combo lands from Hanson. Baskov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hanson moves into the clinch. Hanson trying to control the position but instead, Baskov has worked for underhooks and has pushed Hanson into the ropes. Hanson takes a knee to the side of the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanson lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Baskov backwards. Baskov keeps control of Hanson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Baskov with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Hanson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hanson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Hanson rushes Baskov with punches - Baskov moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Baskov goes down! Hanson follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
