The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punto swats away the attempt to clinch by Sobotka.
Punto displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sobotka.
Sobotka throws a sloppy head kick and Punto moves out of range easily.
Sobotka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sobotka misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Punto shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Punto showed some decent athleticism there.
Punto is trying to control. Sobotka wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sobotka can do anything to dispel that myth.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Punto is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sobotka is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
