The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Shlemenko as ditte shoots in.

Shlemenko gets the takedown into side control.
ditte sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
ditte moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

ditte isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Shlemenko stacks ditte on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Shlemenko!
ditte wants to control but Shlemenko postures up.

ditte is trying to break the clinch but Shlemenko is controlling him.

Shlemenko ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Shlemenko no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
ditte stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shlemenko swivels though and keeps the full guard.

ditte drops back, looking for a kneebar! Shlemenko looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Shlemenko looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Shlemenko!

Shlemenko jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but ditte manages to avoid the submission attempt.
You can see the frustration on ditte's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Shlemenko thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

ditte lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Shlemenko!

ditte looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Shlemenko's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Shlemenko has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

ditte is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Shlemenko defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
