Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between MATT SERRA (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urijah Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think SERRA might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to ENTER SANDMAN. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Chad Campbell and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SERRA has Faber up against the cage in a clinch.
SERRA breaks the clinch.
Faber darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Faber slips a nice elbow through SERRA's hands, connecting with SERRA's forehead.
SERRA is trying to control but can't.
SERRA keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Faber prevents SERRA from improving his position.
SERRA slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Faber throwing strikes but missing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Faber postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

SERRA is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Faber throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Faber is sneakily working for an arm triangle but SERRA sees it coming and defends easily.
SERRA tries to roll over but Faber keeps him under control.

SERRA is breathing heavily.

Faber lands with a punch from half guard.
SERRA wants to control but Faber is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Faber throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Faber seems to be looking for submissions.
Faber is nestled in close to SERRA, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

SERRA is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Faber defends well.

Faber stands up over SERRA, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
SERRA tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Faber has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Faber passes into half guard.
SERRA is trying to control but can't.
SERRA tries to roll over but Faber keeps him under control.
Faber is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Faber is looking for a kimura but SERRA is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Faber to get the leverage.
Faber looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Faber looks to land a strike but SERRA avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Urijah Faber dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
SERRA works over Faber's head and body with a nice combination.
Faber fails to land the takedown.
SERRA is looking to clinch.
Urijah Faber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Faber dives in and grabs SERRA's left leg, looking for a takedown. SERRA pushes down on Faber's head and hops out.
Faber fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
MATT SERRA has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Urijah Faber.
SERRA clinches up against the cage.
SERRA slowing the pace effectively.
Faber has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. SERRA is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
SERRA has hold of one of Faber's legs. Faber is fighting the takedown attempt but SERRA gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
SERRA won't allow Faber to get back to his feet.

Faber wriggles free and stands up.
Faber shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. SERRA manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Faber content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Faber drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and SERRA dives on top into guard.
Faber is looking to stand up but SERRA isn't so interested in that idea.
SERRA pushes down on Faber's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Faber makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
SERRA fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Faber sprawls well initially but SERRA persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Faber wants to get back to his feet.
Faber kicks off SERRA and gets to his feet.
SERRA scores with a leg kick.

SERRA tries to clinch up but Faber circles away and keeps his distance.
SERRA gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Faber slips nicely into half guard.

SERRA tries to roll over but Faber keeps him under control.
Faber is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! SERRA is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
