Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cayden Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, William Wallace! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cayden Johnson! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallace doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Cayden Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wallace gets the takedown into side control. Johnson tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Johnson regains half guard. Wallace seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Johnson wants to control but Wallace is keeping busy.
Wallace prevents Johnson from standing back up.
Wallace lands strikes from half guard. Wallace trying to control the pace. Wallace blocks the strikes from Johnson.
Johnson wants to get back to full guard. Johnson tries to kick Wallace off but Wallace keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Johnson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Johnson prevents Wallace from getting back to his feet. Johnson wants to stand and escape but instead Wallace has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Wallace has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Wallace showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Johnson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Johnson is looking to stand back up but Wallace counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Johnson. Johnson looks gassed! Wallace wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy. Wallace seems to be working for a kimura but Johnson defends the submission attempt. Johnson is trying to maintain the position but Wallace is very close to passing his half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallace stops Johnson from getting back to his feet.
Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wallace is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Johnson is looking for a sweep. Wallace is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wallace shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Johnson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Wallace gets to mount! Johnson was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Wallace postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Johnson looks a forlorn figure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallace tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Johnson is in a horrible position here. Wallace smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Wallace sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Wallace trying to control but he's not successful this time. Wallace goes for an armbar but Johnson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Johnson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Wallace keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Johnson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Johnson stands and steps away. Wallace gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Wallace avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wallace gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Johnson preventing the sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that William Wallace will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Wallace scores with a takedown into Johnson's guard. Johnson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Wallace wants to stand but Johnson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Johnson working a defensive guard here.
Wallace with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Johnson throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Johnson thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Wallace wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. Wallace drops back looking for a leg! Johnson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johnson manages to kick Wallace off! Wallace jumps back into Johnson's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Johnson clinches with his opponent.
Johnson pulls guard successfully.
Johnson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wallace is aware though and is defending well. Wallace cracks Johnson with a solid left hand. Johnson is looking to stand up but Wallace isn't so interested in that idea. Wallace forces his way into half guard. Wallace passes to side control. Johnson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Wallace has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Johnson's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Johnson is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Wallace!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). William Wallace!
