Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lennon McCartney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Salek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCartney comes to the cage accompanied by British Marching Tune - The British Grenadiers. Rob Salek is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as McCartney checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Salek digs a good hook to McCartney's body.
McCartney shoots in but Salek avoids the takedown attempt easily.
McCartney circles away from the clinch attempt.
McCartney shoots in looking for a takedown. Salek tries to sprawl out of it but McCartney keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Salek manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Horrible takedown by McCartney or perhaps it was just good defense by Salek which made him look bad.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rob Salek showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
