Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Moralez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moralez has chosen "Stonebreaker" by Corrosion Of Conformity as his entrance music. Peter Machado has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Machado! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pablo Moralez! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Machado scores with a takedown into Moralez's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Machado wants to pass the guard but Moralez is keeping the position. Moralez tries to land a sweep but no joy. Machado passes Moralez's left leg - he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Machado is working for a kimura but Moralez is defending it quite comfortably.
Machado is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Machado is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Moralez sees it coming and defends easily. Moralez wants to get back to his feet. Moralez tries to bum rush Machado with a series of wild strikes but Machado uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Moralez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Machado moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Machado tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Moralez swivels and escapes. Moralez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Moralez gets a takedown into half guard. Machado has hold of Moralez's hands but Moralez slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Moralez wants to stand up but Machado has a hold of him and won't allow it. Machado is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. It looks like Moralez is going to stand back up.
Machado keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Machado moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Moralez scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Machado bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Moralez's guard. Machado drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Moralez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Machado has Moralez in his guard. Moralez is looking to work some ground and pound but Machado has wrist control. Moralez gets to his feet. Machado looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Machado checks a low kick from Moralez. Machado blocks a head kick by Moralez.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Pablo Moralez will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Machado with a lazy takedown attempt and Moralez counters with a right hand to the body. Machado shoots and misses and Moralez counters with a left and a right that stings Machado. Moralez throws a head kick but Machado moves out of range.

Machado gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Moralez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Machado. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moralez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Machado doesn't seem bothered though. Moralez throws a series of strikes that have Machado backpedaling.
Machado misses with a takedown attempt and Moralez counters with a nice double leg into guard. Moralez is looking to work some ground and pound but Machado has wrist control. Machado has his foot on Moralez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Moralez works his way back into a safe position though. Machado is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Moralez stands and steps away. Machado gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Machado moves out of range of the strikes. Moralez misses with a few strikes there.
Pablo Moralez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Machado fails with the takedown and Moralez counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Machado closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Machado lands in his opponent's guard. Machado is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Moralez is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Moralez has escaped and now he's on top! Moralez postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Machado had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Moralez defends it easily. Moralez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Machado. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Moralez stands and steps away. Machado gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moralez cracks Machado with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Moralez gets a takedown into half guard. Moralez tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Moralez decides to return to a standing position. Moralez throws a jab when Machado was well out of range. Moralez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Machado has his takedown stuffed and Moralez counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Moralez misses the shot to the body. Moralez fails with the takedown and Machado counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Pablo Moralez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Moralez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Machado shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Machado was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Moralez has left one of his arms exposed and Machado doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Moralez screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
