Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kaine Barwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tobias Stromberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stromberg leaves Barwin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Stromberg with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Stromberg misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Barwin tries to clinch but Stromberg is having none of it.
Barwin moves in looking to clinch but Stromberg pushes him off.

Stromberg shoots in looking for a takedown. Barwin tries to sprawl out of it but Stromberg keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barwin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stromberg.
Kaine Barwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Stromberg counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Stromberg stands and steps away. Barwin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Barwin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stromberg as he jumps to the side.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stromberg must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stromberg accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
