Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tokahuro Nagabushi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyle McCoy! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nagabushi gets caught flat footed, as McCoy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. McCoy has gone for a leg lock! Nagabushi slips out almost immediately though and dives into McCoy's guard. McCoy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nagabushi is aware though and is defending well. McCoy is looking to sweep but instead, Nagabushi has passed into half guard.
Nagabushi is looking to advance position but McCoy won't allow it. Nagabushi wants to lay and pray for a moment but McCoy keeps working. McCoy wants to get back to full guard. McCoy looking for submissions off his back. Nagabushi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McCoy on the ground. McCoy is looking for a sweep. Nagabushi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Nagabushi is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nagabushi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McCoy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nagabushi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McCoy somewhat. McCoy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nagabushi's waist but Nagabushi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McCoy off to one side. McCoy has a takedown stuffed. Tokahuro Nagabushi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle McCoy. Nagabushi gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows McCoy to score an easy takedown into full guard. McCoy looks gassed! McCoy stops Nagabushi from standing up. McCoy drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nagabushi dives on top into guard. McCoy looking to sweep here. No luck so far. McCoy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nagabushi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nagabushi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. McCoy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nagabushi is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nagabushi passes McCoy's left leg - he's now in half guard. McCoy is not content to let Nagabushi control the position. Nagabushi wants to stand up but McCoy is controlling the position.
Nagabushi looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. McCoy looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. McCoy moves into full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nagabushi trying to control the position from guard on top but McCoy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nagabushi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. McCoy shoots for a takedown but Nagabushi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. McCoy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Nagabushi's half guard. McCoy looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
McCoy wants to work for an arm triangle but Nagabushi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nagabushi is trying to stand.
McCoy is looking for a kimura but Nagabushi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for McCoy to get the leverage. McCoy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nagabushi is just riding it out for now. McCoy eventually gives up the hold. McCoy is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nagabushi defends it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kyle McCoy dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Nagabushi closes the distance and lands a one-two. McCoy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nagabushi sprawls well. Nagabushi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McCoy gets slowly back to his feet. McCoy shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nagabushi is trying to defend but McCoy finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McCoy is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. McCoy is looking for a kimura but Nagabushi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for McCoy to get the leverage. Nagabushi is trying to stand back up but McCoy is controlling him

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Nagabushi displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Nagabushi lands with an uppercut that bounces McCoy off the cage and back into rage. Tokahuro Nagabushi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nagabushi scores with a one two! McCoy had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
McCoy is rocked! Nagabushi lands with an overhand left. McCoy is still on wobbly legs! Can Nagabushi finish him? Nagabushi misses with a few strikes there.
Nagabushi connects with a superb combination that knocks McCoy out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Nagabushi before he can land any more shots to the unconscious McCoy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tokahuro Nagabushi!
