The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalei throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.
Silva staying out of range there.
Kalei blocks a head kick by Silva.
Kalei misses with a kick to the body.
Kalei throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Silva throws a looping overhand right but Kalei ducks down to avoid it.
Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pika Kalei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva lands a slapping body shot.
Kalei pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Silva jabbing away but nothing is landing.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kalei.
Kalei gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Silva.

It looks like Pika Kalei has been cut.
Silva throws a combination. Kalei tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Silva doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
A head kick misses from Silva.
Silva lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Kalei looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Silva throws a front kick that sends Kalei stumbling back into the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kalei loads up on a big right hand but Silva slips the punch.
Silva fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Silva moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Kalei shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kalei is breathing heavily.
Silva misses with a head kick.
Silva lands with a cross.
Silva dips to his left and cracks Kalei with an uppercut!
Silva connects with a solid leg kick.
Silva darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kalei takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Silva lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Pika Kalei's cut is getting worse.
Kalei blocks a head kick by Silva.
Silva throws a head kick that Kalei semi-blocks.
Kalei throws a lazy right hand but Silva sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Silva has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Silva feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kalei's calf.

Silva lands a big head kick that sends Kalei tumbling to the mat! Silva takes a step backwards and waves Kalei back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Kalei is rocked!
Silva drops Kalei with a straight right hand, right on the button! Silva follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
