Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Efram Foreman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Dyl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Efram Foreman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Dyl!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Kavanagh and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Dyl looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Foreman looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Good work by Dyl as he checks the leg kick.

Dyl scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Dyl controlling from side mount.
Dyl tries to move to mount but Foreman blocks the move with his legs.

Dyl decides to stand back up. Dyl steps back and let's Foreman get back to his feet.

Dyl changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Foreman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Dyl wants to lay and pray for a moment but Foreman keeps working.
Dyl prevents Foreman from escaping the position.
Dyl lands a decent elbow from side control.
Foreman can't do much from the bottom here.

Dyl creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Foreman sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Dyl feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dyl is pushing down on Foreman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Foreman is fighting to maintain full guard but Dyl has managed to sneak the leg through.

Dyl is taking a breather. Foreman says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Dyl passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Foreman!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Foreman is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Dyl content just to control the position here.
A nice elbow there by Dyl.
Dyl throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Foreman wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Foreman wants to get back to his feet.
Foreman wants to control his opponent's hands but Dyl gets his hands free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dyl is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Dyl postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Foreman is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dyl, into his guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Foreman is looking to stand up but Dyl won't let him.

Dyl has a closed guard, preventing Foreman from standing up.

Foreman chips away with some ground and pound.

Foreman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Efram Foreman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Foreman fails with the takedown

and Dyl counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Dyl stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Foreman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Foreman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dyl should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Foreman pushes Dyl off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Foreman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe Dyl showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Foreman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Foreman shoots for a takedown but Dyl saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Dyl throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

Dyl keeps control of the position as Foreman tries to break free.

Dyl is trying to stick to Foreman's back but Foreman is turning into Dyl. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Dyl's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Foreman.
Foreman would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Foreman tries to clinch but Dyl moves out of range.

Dyl takes the fight into the clinch.
Foreman misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Dyl.

Dyl has picked Foreman up - he's going for a ride! Dyl dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Dyl lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Foreman is trying to stand up here but Dyl is controlling him well.
Foreman trying to hold on to Dyl's head to control him but Dyl postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dyl stops Foreman from getting back to his feet.
Efram Foreman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Dyl is working for a kimura but Foreman is defending it quite comfortably.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Foreman is refusing to be controlled, as Dyl sits in half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Joe Dyl comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dyl has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
