Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Art Vandelay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vandelay comes to the cage accompanied by Street Fighting Man by The Rolling Stones. Jones has chosen Runaway as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Art Vandelay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dante Jones! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Anthony Taglia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vandelay slips under a jab. Jones lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Vandelay backs up against the cage.
It looks like Art Vandelay has been cut. Vandelay scores with a jab to the jaw. Vandelay throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A combination from Jones does no damage. Vandelay lands with an overhand left. Vandelay misses with a hook. Jones misses with a looping right. Jones throws a series of punches but Vandelay avoids them all with ease. A lazy left from Vandelay finds it's target. Vandelay walks into a jab. Jones is looking to land body kicks. Some bone on bone action there as Vandelay checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Vandelay works the jab nicely. Jones lands with a nice combination. Vandelay backs away looking to recover. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A big left from Jones misses. Jones misses with a body kick. Vandelay takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Vandelay throws an overhand right that lands on Jones's shoulder, as Jones tries to avoid the shot. Vandelay tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Vandelay. Vandelay lands with a straight right. Jones didn't see that one coming.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vandelay keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones. Jones swinging wildly here.
Jones throws the kick towards the body but Vandelay avoids it. Dante Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vandelay takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jones throws a right hand that Vandelay ducks under and follows up with a left that Vandelay also avoids with ease. Vandelay checks a leg kick. Dante Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Vandelay avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jones walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Vandelay lands with an overhand left. Some wild striking there from Jones.

Jones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vandelay. Jones gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Art Vandelay's cut is getting worse. Vandelay is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Jones shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Jones misses with a body kick. Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vandelay circles away quickly and effectively. Jones throws a right and a left that Vandelay avoids nicely. Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones throws a right and a left that both miss. Jones throws a half hearted mid kick. Vandelay moves out of range as Jones strikes. Jones on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones misses with a wild combination.
Good standup being displayed there by Vandelay as he connects with a hook. Vandelay stuns Jones with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Jones misses with a hook to the body
and Vandelay counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jones swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Vandelay counters with a nice uppercut. Jab from Vandelay. Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vandelay sees it coming and avoids it easily. Jones throws a head kick but Vandelay moves out of range.
Jones looks gassed! Jones throws a combination that misses and Jones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Donk. Vandelay catches Jones right on the button with a cross. Jones throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Vandelay counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A big right from Jones misses. Vandelay shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Jones wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Vandelay cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vandelay has control of Jones's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jones regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vandelay. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jones wants to try and get back to his feet. Vandelay looking to secure an arm triangle but Jones defends it well. Vandelay is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jones has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jones is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Art Vandelay will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Art Vandelay's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jones is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vandelay. Vandelay connects with the punch. Vandelay lands with a nice body punch. Vandelay uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jones. Jones misses with an uppercut. Vandelay saw that one coming. Jones throws a lazy right hand but Vandelay sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A shot to the body from Jones misses and Vandelay counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jones thinking. Vandelay dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jones swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jones takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Vandelay throws a hook to the side of Jones's head but Jones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jones swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Vandelay shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one. Vandelay dips to his left and cracks Jones with an uppercut! Jones slips a straight right by Vandelay. Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Jones is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
