Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Omar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCoy fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nice takedown defense from McCoy. No joy for Omar on that attempt.

McCoy fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Omar sprawls well initially but McCoy persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
McCoy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Omar with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
McCoy seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Omar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Omar sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McCoy's guard.

Omar has an Americana. McCoy didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Omar is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Omar hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
